ALDI shepherds pie for two (Freezer friendly) recipe
Here’s what you’ll need for this super easy meal for two! This recipe is also freezer friendly!
You’ll need 1 can of corn (drained), 1 can of french style green beans (drained), 1 can of tomato soup, 1.5-2 pounds of cooked ground beef, 1/2 tsp of dried basil, mashed potatoes (roughly 3 cups) and paprika!
I first prepared the mashed potatoes and set aside. You’ll want to cook and drain the beef, place in a large bowl and mix together everything but the mashed potatoes and the paprika in the bowl. This is where I set things up to get ready for the freezer.
In each of your containers I placed the meat and veggie mixture on the bottom and, spread the potatoes on top and then sprinkled a little bit of paprika over the potatoes. This recipe is really flexible too! Add whatever veggies you like! Sometimes I’ll top with cheese when I bake it for some added flavor! Yum!
Don’t forget to cover and label your meals! I bake at 350 for 30-40 minutes!
This recipe made us 4 containers! I picked up the containers at dollar tree! I got a 3 pack for $1 and they come with lids! Score! You can also make this recipe in the crockpot too! It’s the same, mix everything together and top with mashed potatoes and cover and cook on low for 5-6 hours. In the last hour sprinkle on your cheesy toppings if you have any!
* We priced it out and this batch gave us four 2 serving containers and cost a grand total of $5.50, which brings the price per meal to roughly $1.36 each! 😋😋 #AldiForTheWin
