Garden progress

It has been a few months since we started our garden; this is what we have now!
Here is one shot of our garden! As you can see, the tomato plants have gotten huge since last month!
More of our tomatoes :)
Here we have peppers, more tomatoes, green beans and cucumbers :) gah, we need to weed!!! D:
Some green tomatoes! They are looking well. We only have two plants of slicer tomatoes in our garden and so far, I am pleased with the results!
Another shot if our garden.
Our lovely lettuce patch :) Stay tuned for more updates! There will be plenty more once canning season comes around ;)

Dog grooming: Before and after (a sneak peak)

For the past year, I have been learning to and grooming dogs. Here are a few pictures that I have put together. Remember, I am still learning so please leave the hate comments to a minimum. Thank you and have a great day!
Hazel the yorkie, she is a doll; a very sweet yorkie :)
Bucky the shih tzu. He came in last Friday sporting a minor home hair cut. He was very sweet and quite cute when all was said and done.
Gadget, the Maltese mix.
Jacky the shih tzu, one of my favorites :)
Cooper the cairn, he is such a good dog! I got the chance to practice my hand stripping techniques on him (haha still learning that one).
Griffith the golden doodle. He is amazing, what a good dog!  :)
Toby the shipoo (shi tzu X poodle).
Birdie the standard poodle, sporting a purple tail at the end of the day :)
Adam the bichon frise (we had to go a little short on this one).
Boba fett, the bichon frise. He is my absolute favorite! He is a wonderful dog and I will miss him when I leave this grooming shop!
Sophie the Cockapoo. She looks so cute with her curly haircut! :)
Spark the Cockapoo :)
Tinkerbell the immature schnauzer :)
Sorry, a bit lost with this one.

Fresh Raspberry salsa

I have a new favorite salsa, made from fresh raspberries and crisp cilantro! I came up with this recipe one day when I was experimenting around with my own salsa recipe.
Start off by chopping up some cilantro and onions.
Don't forget  the fresh raspberries :)
I then added into a good processor, some chopped up tomatoes, the package of raspberries, the cilantro, garlic, onion, a squeeze of like juice and half of a chopped up jalapeño pepper. I added a pinch of salt and a little bit of sugar as well (you can leave out the sugar if you like, the raspberries are pretty sweet alone)!
Everything in the good processor :) I then pulsed it a few times for a few seconds. Do so until the salsa reaches your desired consistency!
This is what mine looked like when I was done. I then sterlized three half pint (8 oz ) jars and added a little bit of vinegar to each one and filled them with the salsa.
This recipe fills three half pint jars. I then processed them in a water bath for 15 minutes. Have a great day everyone! Comments are appreciated :)

Garden progress

At first, we noticed our plants rapidly growing in size (some double in only a few weeks).
Here are some pictures of our progress.
Little blossoms :)
And some baby tomatoes of course :) they started popping out a little after we planted them.
We finally had to put the cages on, they were getting so big. Don't worry, Harley weeded the garden as well ;)
Our little lettuce patch is getting huge. There is some cilantro right next to that :) We like having the lettuce so close to the house, that way we can make blt's, run outside, pick what we need, wash it off and add it to our sandwich.
See, he finally weeded! This is our start of the cucumbers and the green beans :)
Now, weeks later, out green peppers are growing. They are still relatively tiny, but growing fast. We may even need to put a cage around this one.
Our jalapeño peppers are ready to pick, which is good! I've been meaning to make some salsa ;)
